Southern Star Farm’s mission is two-fold. They provide organic, locally-grown food to communities and they educate and inspire individuals looking to learn more about the importance of sustainable farming, agriculture, and ways to achieve them. Southern Star Farms is located in Maxwell, Texas, where it originally started as an aquaponics farm in 2015.  In 2020 they transitioned to soil gardening, and they now have a commercial-grade kitchen on site as well as an event center. They provide community access to local organic produce via artisan grocery shops, CSA baskets, farmer’s markets, restaurants, and Southern Star Farm’s online store.
