Food Access — SNAP & WIC at the Markets

Providing access to sustainable, local food for all Texans is critical to our mission at Texas Farmers’ Market, and we offer a healthy food access program at both of our markets in partnership with the Sustainable Food Center. Shoppers can double up to $30 on fresh fruits and vegetables with Double Up Food Bucks Austin.

SNAP/EBT

Double Up Food Bucks doubles the amount of Lone Star (SNAP) and EBT benefits individuals and families can spend on fruits and vegetables at farmers’ markets in Austin. Bring your SNAP/Lonestar/EBT card to the Food Access Booth at our markets to receive your orange SNAP bucks to use on a variety of essential items at the market. Shoppers can also double up to $30 in yellow Double Up Food Bucks to use on fresh fruits and vegetables every market day via Double Up Food Bucks, a Sustainable Food Center Program.

Double Up Food Bucks duplica la cantidad de beneficios de Lone Star (SNAP) y EBT que los individuos y familias pueden gastar en frutas y verduras en Mercados Agrícolas y mercados móviles en Austin. Traiga su tarjeta SNAP/Lonestar/EBT a la mesa informativa de acceso a alimentos en mercados participantes para recibir sus dólares naranjas de SNAP y utilizar en una variedad de artículos esenciales en el mercado. WIC/FMNP (April – October)

Double Up Food Bucks doubles the amount of WIC and FMNP benefits individuals and families can spend on fruits and vegetables at participating farmers’ markets in Austin. Bring your WIC shopping list to the Food Access Booth at participating markets during the months of April – October. Our food access associates will distribute your WIC vouchers to be used at participating farmers’ booths, and automatically distribute an additional $30 in yellow Double Up Food Bucks to spend on fresh fruits and veggies via Double Up Food Bucks, a Sustainable Food Center Program.

Double Up Food Bucks duplica la cantidad de beneficios de WIC y del Programa de Nutrición de Mercados Agrícolas (FMNP, por sus siglas en inglés) que los individuos y familias pueden gastar en frutas y verduras en Mercados Agrícolas en Austin. Traiga su lista de compras WIC a la mesa informativa de acceso a alimentos en mercados participantes desde abril hasta octubre. Nuestros asociados de acceso a alimentos distribuirán su Cuponera WIC para utilizar en los puestos de agricultores participantes, dándole automáticamente $30 adicionales para gastar en frutas y verduras frescas a través de Double Up Food Bucks (Centro de Alimentos Sustentable, SFC por sus siglas en ingles).

The letter must contain the complainant’s name, address, telephone number, and a written description of the alleged discriminatory action in sufficient detail to inform the Assistant Secretary for Civil Rights (ASCR) about the nature and date of an alleged civil rights violation. The completed AD-3027 form or letter must be submitted to USDA by:
