Stretch the body to clear the mind! Join us for a 60-minute yoga class with movement, breath work and meditation with Laurie Moyer from Stretch Yoga Studio. Class is by donation. Stretch is a boutique yoga studio located in East Austin. They provide yoga that is accessible, uplifting, and transformational for all. Through movement, breath, and a little extra love from their teachers, they are dedicated to helping you achieve your strength, flexibility, and mindfulness goals. $10 suggested donation.
Laurie first started practicing yoga in college as a complement to other athletic pursuits, but quickly delved into a more holistic view of the practice. She is enthusiastic about sharing yoga’s physical, mental, and emotional benefits with all levels of aspiring yogis. Laurie received her 200-hour teaching certification from YogaWorks in New York City, studying under Jodie Rufty. She has also completed her 500-hour advanced teacher training at Wanderlust Yoga with Kate Waitzkin and Leah Cullis.
Laurie teaches a vinyasa flow style class with a few longer holds (to really feel the burn), and always finishes with some juicy stretches.
