In an effort to encourage more urban fishing as Texas’s population continues to migrate into the state’s larger cities, Texas Parks & Wildlife (TPW) will stock for the first time at Mueller approximately 1,200 rainbow trout into Lake Park that can be caught, kept and cooked.

The Mueller Farmers’ Market will feature booths that show how to prepare tasty trout dishes. Signs will be posted around Lake Park to identify the difference between the bass and trout found in the lake. The rainbow trout are big enough to catch and keep.

The Market will provide a train that will ferry market-goers to and from the parking garage.
