Chicken Sausage & Vegetable Stew

Market Ingredients: 

  • Chicken sausage - Belle Vie

  • Radish, chopped into bite sized pieces - Southern Star Farms

  • Carrot, sliced  - Southern Star Farms

  • Celery, sliced - Bouldin Food Forest

  • Spinach, roughly torn- Southern Star Farms

  • Chicken Bone Broth - Belle Vie

Directions:

  1. Prepare the ingredients: Put all cut veggies into a bowl. Slice the chicken sausage and set aside

  2. Build the stew: Place the broth in a pot and bring it to a gentle boil. Add the radish, carrot, and celery. Lower to a simmer and cook for about 10–12 minutes, until the vegetables begin to soften.

  3. Add the sausage: Add the sliced chicken sausage to the pot. Simmer for another 5–7 minutes, allowing the sausage to heat through and flavor the broth

  4. Finish with spinach Stir in the spinach and cook for 1–2 minutes, just until wilted.

  5. Serve: Taste and serve hot. The radish mellows as it cooks, adding a subtle, peppery depth to the stew.

    *Tip: If you want a thicker stew without adding ingredients, simmer uncovered a few extra minutes to let the broth reduce slightly.
