Hijita is a Latina-owned and operated business, founded by Ashley. Born and raised between the borders of Laredo, TX and Nuevo Laredo, MX, Ashley grew up surrounded by her family’s rich culture and traditions. She attributes her vision for Hijita to the strong matriarchs in her life; her mother, her abuelitas, and her only sister.

Hijita carries small batch Mexican chocolate and cacao powders to be used for drinks, cooking, or baking. Their cacao is sourced directly from family farms & co-ops in southern México that are passionate about cultivating heirloom cacao through agroforestry systems.
