Vendor Spotlight: Nita’s Nursery & Sustainable Humane Earth

VENDOR SPOTLIGHT: As spring begins, it’s the perfect time to plant your at-home garden, and today we want to spotlight two of our vendors who sell plants to get your garden growing. Come summer, you can have tomatoes, peppers, herbs and more right at your fingertips!

Anita of Nita’s Nursery has been gardening for over 30 years, and found her passion in growing plants. She started growing her own starts and native plants because she couldn’t find the herb/vegetable varieties and native plants that she wanted in stores. After ending up one fall with 400 broccoli and cauliflower starts, she realized that she could start a business that she loves! Nita’s Nursery seeks to make gardening simple and enjoyable – stop by their booth at Lakeline on Saturdays for a variety of plant starts including tomatoes, peppers, squash, herbs, and more.

Sustainable Humane Earth values conscious nourishment. In addition to providing the sustainably-produced plants and produce they sell at the market, they also offer educational and design services in permaculture and yogic living. They have helped design and create permaculture farms (agricultural systems that emulate natural ecosystems) with aquaponics systems, ranging from the small to the commercial. They have been providing fresh, organic produce to local businesses since 2011! Stop by their booth at Mueller on Sundays for lots of gorgeous plant varieties and to learn more about the services they offer!
