Vendor Spotlight: Christen’s Gourmet Pralines

VENDOR SPOTLIGHT SPECIAL EDITION PODCAST BY EATIN’ & SIPPIN’ LOCALLY:

Sharon Richardson is a fifth-generation New Orleanian. She and her husband, Austin Richardson, moved to central Texas after Hurricane Katrina and wanted to bring a distinctive New Orleans flavor to their new home. Sharon learned the art of the praline from the best of the best: her family. Sharon’s family has been making New Orleans style pralines for generations. In fact, their pralines are as rich in history as they are in flavor. Sharon’s family never even owned a candy thermometer or a printed recipe. They are committed to using only the finest ingredients and never using corn syrup or artificial flavors. From wedding favors to Valentine’s Day treats to tasty weekday snacks, Christen’s Gourmet Pralines are perfect for every occasion. And now Austin and Sharon serve up an expanded menu of Louisiana favorites including beignets, red beans & rice and jambalaya. Click here to listen to the Eatin’ & Sippin’ Locally episode to learn more and then visit Sharon and Austin at Texas Farmers’ Market at Lakeline on Saturday!
