TFM COVID-19 2021 Guidelines

Updated July 27, 2021

Dear Valued Texas Farmers’ Market (TFM) Shoppers,

Texas Farmers’ Market at Lakeline on Saturdays 9am-1pm and Texas Farmers’ Market at Mueller on Sundays 10am-2pm are fully open, providing access to sustainable, local food, with some continued adjustments to operations in our efforts to protect the communities we serve.

TFM is closely following Austin Public Health Guidelines and as it currently stands we no longer require masks to be worn outside at our markets. As per CDC guidelines, Texas Farmers’ Market at Mueller will now be requiring masks inside of the Branch Park Pavilion for all shoppers and vendors, regardless of vaccination status. We ask that you please respect and follow this guideline to help our community slow the spread of this new surge of COVID-19 in the Austin area. Please be aware that while we are requiring masks inside of the pavilion, our staff of frontline essential workers will not be physically enforcing this rule on-site as it has become too dangerous for our small nonprofit team to enforce. We ask instead that you do your part, follow the rule and if you are able, help us to encourage everyone to wear masks inside.

We still encourage prepaying and pre-ordering your market items from vendors who take advanced orders. View a list of TFM at Lakeline vendors taking pre-orders here. View a list of TFM at Mueller vendors taking pre-orders here. This way you can come by the market during the last hour or so when it is less crowded and be sure to get what you need and be in and out quickly.

We post vendor layouts on Fridays here, as well as our regular Fresh at the Market post on social media, in order to help shoppers plan their trip to the market accordingly. Please follow us on social media here for further updates: TFM at Lakeline Facebook, TFM at Mueller Facebook page and both markets Instagram page.

Due to the need for increased social distancing, special events and compost drop-off are still on pause until further notice.

We encourage everyone who is healthy and feels safe to visit our farmers’ markets in order to procure sustainable, local food from area farmers, ranchers and small businesses. If you have any questions or concerns please reach out to our Executive Director, Nena Johnson, at [email protected]

Sincerely,

The Team at Texas Farmers’ Market
