Ginger sesame shishito peppers

by Mueller Market Chef Julia

MARKET Ingredients:

  • 2 pints shishito peppers - @emadiacres

  • 1 knob of ginger, finely - @emadiacres

  • Everything seeded crackers - @breadandzest

Other Ingredients:

  • 1tsp sesame oil

  • 2 tbsp lime juice

  • 2 garlic cloves, finely chopped

  • 1tbsp Honey

  • 1tbsp Soy sauce

Directions:

  1. Cook the shishitos peppers. Heat 1 Tbsp neutral oil and 1 tsp sesame oil over high heat in a large cast iron or heavy bottom skillet on high setting.

  2. Add shishito peppers and cook, stirring often, until blistered on all sides. This can take 5-10 minutes depending on how hot your pan is. You're looking for the peppers to be tender, but not mushy.

  3. When the peppers are almost there, add garlic, soy sauce, lime juice, honey and ginger. Cook until garlic and sesame oil is fragrant, about 30 seconds then remove from heat.

  4. Toss with crushed sesame crackers and serve!
